Ex-KGB Agent Yuri Bezmenov Explains “How to Subvert a Nation” – Thought Provoking

without comments

This interview was brought to my attention.  This was conducted in 1985 by Mr. G. Edward Griffin, author of “The Creature from Jekyll Island“, a critical book on the formation of the Federal Reserve Bank and with Ex-KGB agent Yuri Bezmenov on how to subvert a nation.  Normally with a title like that I would not take time to review it but it was highly recommended from the person who brought it to my attention.  Mr. Bezmenov was trained in ideological subversion, active measures, dis-information and Soviet propaganda.  After watching the video (note: I personally read a large amount of news each day), I notice that it seems like some of these tactics are being used in our media, like fear-mongering and twisting words of the English language to get incorrect assumption to the non-critical thinker.  It talks about how media can be used to “change your perception” on a given subject.

He states that we have been slowly “socialized” over a couple generations without proper balance against it with “Core American Values”.   I have to agree with that, we are moving into a nation of entitlement when we were a nation of ingenuity and real innovation on all class levels.  He speaks of putting a large federal government in Washington D.C. and we are witnessing that right in front of our eyes.  How many “Czars” do we have now and why is this term so popular for positions in our government?  We also have encroachment on our freedom of speech, an example are people automatically assuming conflicting opinions with our President are somehow racist and talk of having the “fairness doctrine” brought back to regulate radio and the internet.  I really missed the time when our media was very critical and asked the hard questions without having to answer to a corporation that may or may-not have a vested interest in the outcome of a piece of news.  The news should be first and foremost about the truth and giving perspective.

Review (From Video):

The four stages of “subversion” are:

* Demoralization

* Destabilization

* Crisis

* Normalization

You decide?
